There are two of us. We like to travel slowly, and we've always come home with too many photographs.
For years they lived on hard drives. Every so often we'd open a folder from a trip and remember exactly how it felt to be there - the cold of a waterfall, the sound of the sea, a valley that opened up for ten minutes and then disappeared again.
Somewhere, Once. is our way of giving those moments a place on a wall. Every photograph is ours, taken in a place we actually stood. Nothing is staged, and nothing is invented.
Back home, we edit each image carefully. Sometimes that includes AI-assisted tools - to clean up a frame, recover detail, or bring the light closer to what we remember. We see it as part of the darkroom, not a replacement for being there.
Small by design
Each destination becomes a short collection - a handful of images, not hundreds. We'd rather make a few things well.
